Sportident Equipment Hire and Timing Services
SportIdent is a system which is used at many types of event to both time and score competitors. Each competitor carries a small plastic 'SportIdent Card' which is quickly 'punched' into the hole in the top of the electronic stations which are located at each checkpoint. The card contains a computer chip which picks up data, such as the locations and times they were visited, from each checkpoint that it is 'punched' into. This data can then be downloaded into a computer at the Finish to give information about which controls the competitor has visited and how long it took to get there from the previous control, along with their overall time taken. Each competitor is given an immediate printout that provides a summary of their performance. The computer will also create overall results for your event.
